1-2 bedroom needed in Montpelier area for 5/1/05

My boyfriend and I (both non-smokers, without pets, with rental experience) are looking to move in together, and need a place large enough for all our stuff (which really isn't all that much) -- we do have two beds, so we'd like two bedrooms, but a one bedroom with clean storage included, or, even better, a small office that a bed would fit in (even if it had to be up against a wall). We'd like to spend $650-$700, but for the right place, could go as high as $750, if utilities were included (mostly heat, hot water).

Ideal, dream apartment:

-Reasonably close to downtown Montpelier, but in a neighborhood that is quiet. Or at least, that we don't have windows in the bedroom that face the street noise.

-I'm dreaming, right?: dishwasher, washer/dryer, covered parking.

-A lovely building with charm/character.

What would be very acceptable:

-We could live in Berlin, Barre (if it's a nice neighborhood), Waterbury, Northfield, or possibly Stowe, in addition to Montpelier.

-Off-street parking, preferably for 2 cars.

-A place big enough that we don't need to also rent a storage unit.

-Laundry facilities on-site (coin-op) or nearby.

My lease is up at the end of May, but my landlord has been very generous and said that with 30 days' notice, I could leave at the end of April, so we're looking for something for May 1st. However, I could be flexible with later move-in dates. My landlord has also offered to write a letter recommending me as a tenant.
