The City of Winooski requires that all rental dwelling units have a “Certificate of Compliance” prior to occupancy. The Minimum Housing Standards inspection conducted by the City requires proof that essential lead maintenance practices were performed prior to issuance of the certificate. Evidence of high lead levels will be cited as a health violation in Winooski's inspection report.
