The Department of Public Works (DPW) issues construction permits (building permits).

If you are performing renovations on your rental properties, you will need a permit from DPW.

Other types of work that require a permit from DPW:  electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler system, heating unit certification.
