New Deposit Ordinance in Burlington

On November 27, 2006 the Burlington City Council passed an ordinance allowing landlords to collect an additional payment equal to one half of a month's rent as a pet deposit.
This new section of the ordinance would apply for tenancies beginning after the effective date of the Ordinance. The city has not issued an effective date yet. VAOA will notify landlords of it.
